How The TheHustle.co Gained 1 Million+ Subscribers, With Sam Parr

Summary

Not the first Sam Parr podcast interview I've shared and probably won't be the last 😀 The Hustle keeps on growing and they've introduced a new research product, Trends.

The first half of the interview is focused on the growth of the daily newsletter and the second half on the opportunities in research based products.

3 lessons:

  • The goal of the Hustle was/is to build a big list and monetize with ads to then finance other products for the audience. Softbank started out this way - started a publishing company, sold ads, saw which ads performed the best and then created products in those markets. Anyone can do this with a newsletter. Build audience, provide content and then find out what they want more of and sell it to them.
  • Email sponsorship rates vary in the range of $10 CPM to $100 CPM. So, if you want to make a decent revenue you need a huge list or to send frequently (daily). OR... see point above and find out what your audience wants, create it and sell it to them.
  • Write like you talk. People are the same at work or at home. Don’t do boring business speak in your email copy.

The business model for creating research products is insanely simple. Pick a niche and start getting your hands dirty.

Would you like to know how to make more than 8-figures per year, with nothing more than an email newsletter?

No information products, no coaching, no consulting…

All you have is an email newsletter sent out daily, without any products for sale, and you’re making over $10 million dollars per year as a result.

Sound too good to be true?

Well today I’d like to introduce you to someone who’s done exactly that…

His name is Sam Parr, and he’s the Founder of TheHustle.co…

TheHustle.co produces a free daily email newsletter for entrepreneurs, investors, and tech fans that includes breaking industry news, insider stories, and valuable case-studies.

But what sets them apart is their unabashed, tell-it-like-it-is, conversational writing style.

Call it attitude or flare, their unique style has helped them amass a rabid readership of more than 1 million subscribers, and has helped them become one of the fastest growing media companies in the world as a result.

So how did they gain such a cult following? How do they make their revenue, and how can you apply their business model for yourself?

You’ll learn all of that and more here in this fantastic interview with Sam, and you’ll also be one of the first to hear about their brand new venture they just launched a few weeks ago.

Please help me welcome, Sam Par
